![]() ![]() ![]() During this time, she served as a Human Resources Analyst for San Bernardino County where she was responsible for county-wide IT recruiting, managed HR modernization efforts, and spoke across the region encouraging local students to pursue careers in government. ![]() While attending Claremont McKenna, Samantha was a campus leader focused on gender equity and sexual violence prevention which resulted in her selection as one of ten women from across the nation chosen to serve on the American Association of University Women’s National Student Advisory Council.īefore starting law school, Samantha had a successful public sector career as a Human Resources professional. Samantha also completed an accelerated graduate program while an undergraduate and received a Master’s degree from Claremont Graduate University in Public Policy. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Claremont McKenna College where she dual-majored in Government and Gender & Women’s Studies. Samantha was born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley region of Southern California. Nathan is excited to begin his legal education at USC Gould with the plan to return to the Space Industry as an attorney and a mission to empower new commercial participants and protect the outer space domain from harmful misuse. Through his experience at NASA, Nathan developed an interest in the legal mechanisms that protect valuable IP and technology while enabling human spaceflight in a highly collaborative international environment. His experience includes leading a variety of ISS missions as well as drafting and negotiating some of the background operational agreements between NASA and partner space agencies. After his time at Texas A&M, he moved to Houston to join NASA’s team of Flight Controllers that pilot the International Space Station from Mission Control.įor the past five years, Nathan worked with engineers across the globe to train, plan, and execute human spaceflight operations for NASA and partner space agencies. in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University. Nathan grew up in Dallas, Texas and graduated with a B.S. Its small environment is designed so students may achieve great things. I am committed to helping students achieve their very best, and I wholly believe that USC Gould offers the most stellar legal education. These workshops are led by law and non-law faculty from USC and other prestigious universities. In addition, Honors Scholars are invited to a variety of academic workshops throughout the course of the year. In prior years, this has included the following: mixers with part-time faculty lunch and learns with prominent members of the Gould alumni community invitations to select events with members of the Law Leadership Society and student led social outings, including escape rooms and sporting events. In addition to any general merit-based scholarship, every Honors Scholar will have the opportunity to engage in activities designed around social, academic, and professional networking. ![]() The Honors Scholar designation is applied to approximately 20 students in each class. Launched through the generosity of USC Trustee Stanley Gold, JD 1967, and his wife, Ilene, the Honors Scholars combines financial support with mentoring and networking opportunities for selected, highly ranked incoming USC Gould JD students. ![]()
